- Pam Tanowitz for The Royal Ballet – Program: Secret Things/Everyone Keeps Me
- February 4, 2023 – February 16, 2023: The Royal Ballet will present Secret Things/Everyone Keeps Me, an evening of works by Pam Tanowitz (female), that includes the premiere of a newly commissioned work entitled Secret Things.
- Mollie Sansone & Sidra Bell for Nashville Ballet – Program: Anthology
- February 10, 2023 – February 12, 2023: Nashville Ballet will present Anthology, a production featuring a blend of world premiere choreography from Paul Vasterling (male), Mollie Sansone (female), Shabaz Ujima (male), Sidra Bell (female), and Windship Boyd (male).
- Hope Boykin for Philadelphia Ballet – Program: Forward Motion
- February 3, 2023 – February 11, 2023: Philadelphia Ballet will present their new works program Forward Motion, a triple bill featuring new commissions by Hope Boykin (female), Andonis Foniadakis (male), and Juliano Nunes (male).
- Jennifer Archibald & Helen Simoneau for Charlotte Ballet – Program: Innovative Works
- February 3, 2023 – February 25, 2023: Charlotte Ballet will present Innovative Works, a triple bill featuring new works by Jennifer Archibald (female), and Helen Simoneau (female), alongside a work by Alejandro Cerrudo (male).
- Glory Tuohy-Daniell for Bangarra Dance Theater – Program: Dance Clan
- February 3, 2023 – February 18, 2023: Bangarra Dance Theater will present Dance Clan, a quadruple bill featuring world premiere works by Glory Tuohy-Daniell (female), Beau Dean Riley Smith (male), Ryan Pearson (male) and Sani Townson (male).
- Jessie Lee Thorne for Dance at the Odyssey Festival
- February 3, 2023 – February 4, 2023: Dance at the Odyssey Festival will present Topia: The Something In Between, a new evening-length work by Jessie Lee Thorne (female).
- Wubkje Kuindersma for Dutch National Ballet Junior Company – Program: Ballet Bubbles
- January 25, 2023 – February 15, 2023: The Dutch National Ballet Junior Company will present Ballet Bubbles, a program featuring world premiere works by Wubkje Kuindersma (female), Joshua Junker (male) and Sedrig Verwoert (male), alongside the ‘Pas de quatre’ from The Sleeping Beauty, and a work by Juanjo Arqués (male).

- January 20, 2023 – February 11, 2023: San Francisco Ballet will present the first program of their festival next@90. This triple bill program features new works by Danielle Rowe (female), Robert Garland (male), and Jamar Roberts (male).

Female Choreography Commissions, World Premieres, and Programming
- Gladisa Guadalupe for Cleveland Ballet – Program: Momentum
- On February 24, 2023: Cleveland Ballet will present Momentum, a program featuring new works by company Artistic Director Gladisa Guadalupe (female), alongside a work by Margo Sappington (female), and various works from the company repertoire.
- Nana Biluš Abaffy, Amelia Jean O’Leary, & Yumi Umiumare for FRAME: A biennial of dance
- In March 2023: the Australian-based dance festival ‘FRAME: A biennial of dance’ will present works by various dance artists, including new/commissioned works by Nana Biluš Abaffy (female), Amelia Jean O’Leary (female), & Yumi Umiumare (female).

- Scapino Ballet Rotterdam Announces Eventual Artistic Director Transition
- In January 2023: Scapino Ballet Rotterdam announced that effective August 2024, Nanine Linning (female) will succeed Ed Wubbe (male), as Artistic Director of the company. This is a male-to-female transition.
- San Jose Dance Theater Announces New Artistic Director
- On January 12, 2023: San Jose Dance Theater Announced that Mariana Zschoerper (female) will succeed Mark Foehringer (male) as Artistic Director of the company. This is a male-to-female transition.
- Birmingham Royal Ballet Announces Second Company and Artistic Coordinator
- On January 19, 2023: Birmingham Royal Ballet announced the launch of BRB2, a “two-year performance programme. . . inspired by Dutch National Ballet Junior Company and ABT Studio Company.” Kit Holder (male), has been named BRB2’s Artistic Coordinator, a role meant as a means of professional development and leadership training.
- Blue13 Dance Company Announces new Executive Director
- On January 27, 2023: Blue13 Dance Company announced that Matt Cook has been named the company’s new Executive Director.
- Madison Ballet Announces Interim Executive Director
- On January 31, 2023: Madison Ballet announced the departure of the company’s Executive Director, Jonathan Solari (male). The company also announced that Artistic Director Ja’ Malik (male) would take on the responsibilities of Executive Director in an interim position until a search for Solari’s successor can be conducted.
- Milwaukee Ballet Resident Choreographer to Depart in February
- Milwaukee Ballet has announced that on February 9-12, 2023 Timothy O’Donnell (male), will present his last work as the company’s Resident Choreographer. No successor has been announced as of the date of this post.
- Nashville Ballet Announces New Artistic Director for Nashville Ballet 2
- On January 26, 2023: Nashville Ballet Announced that effective August 2023, Maria A Konrad-Reach (female) will begin her new role as Artistic Director of Nashville Ballet 2.

- 2023 United States Artists Dance Fellows Announced
- In January 2023: The 2023 United States Artists Dance Fellows were announced. This fellowship recognizes “the most compelling artists working and living in the United States, in all disciplines, at every stage of their career.” This year’s Fellows include Ayodele Casel (she/her), Ayako Kato (she/her), Noemí Segarra Ramírez (she/her), devynn emory (he/him, they/them), and Antoine Hunter.
