  • Stephanie Lake for The Australian Ballet 
    • July 25, 2023 – August 19, 2023:  The Australian Ballet is scheduled to present its 2023 tour. The tour features a new commission by Stephanie Lake (female) alongside works by Marius Petipa (male), and Lucas Jervies (male).
  • Natalie Weir for Queensland Ballet – Program: Bespoke
    • July 27, 2023 – August 5, 2023:  Queensland Ballet will present Bespoke, a triple bill featuring world premiere works by Natalie Weir (female), Paul Boyd (male), and Remi Wörtmeyer (male).
  • Gemma Bond for Ballet Nacional de Sodre – Program: Dos hemisferios
    • July 27, 2023 – August 6, 2023:  Ballet Nacional de Sodre will present Dos hemisferios, a double bill featuring world premiere works by Gemma Bond (female) and Iñaki Urlezaga (male).
  • Savannah Dunn for Deos Contemporary Ballet – Program: COLLIDE Series 23
    • July 28, 2023 – July 30, 2023:  Deos Contemporary Ballet will present COLLIDE Series 23, A program featuring a world premiere work by Savannah Dunn (female), alongside works by Tess Sinke (female).
  • Avatâra Ayuso for Ballet de Santiago
    • July 22, 2023 – July 29, 2023:  Ballet de Santiago will present Nijinska: Secreto de la Vanguardia (Nijinska: Secret of the Vanguard), a world premiere work by Avatâra Ayuso (female) that, according to the brief description on the company website, “looks to focus our attention on ‘la gran ignorada de la danza’ (the great Ignored of dance).
  • Hai-Wen HSU for  La Biennale di Venezia
    • July 23, 2023 – July 25, 2023:  La Biennale di Venezia will present Biennale College Choreographers-New Creations, a program of newly commissioned works for Biennale College to support emerging choreographic talent. This year’s choreographers are   Hai-Wen HSU (female), and Scott Elstermann (male).

  • Chambersburg Ballet Announces New Artistic Director
    • On July 16, 2023:  The Chambersburg Ballet announced that Brian Grant (male) has been appointed as the new Artistic Director of the Chambersburg Ballet and Ballet School effective August 1, 2023. Grant will succeed the company founder, Lavinia Reid (female).  This is a female-to-male transition. 
  • Canton Ballet Announces New Executive Director 
    • On July 18, 2023:  Canton Ballet announced that Joy Raub (female) has been appointed Executive Director of the company effective July 31, 2023. Raub succeeds Cassandra Crowley (female) who announced her retirement in December 2022. This is a female-to-female transition. 
  • School of Ballet RI Announces New School Director
    • On July 18, 2023:  the School of Ballet RI announced that Sarah Lane (female) has been appointed as Director of the school effective September 1, 2023. Lane succeeds Marissa Parmenter (female) in the position. This is a female-to-female transition. 
  • Dayton Ballet Announces New Artistic Director
    • On July 20, 2023:  Dayton Ballet announced that Brandon Ragland (male) has been named the new Artistic Director of the company effective August 1, 2023. Ragland succeeds Karen Russo Burke (female) who announced her departure from the company in September 2022. 
  • Louisville Ballet Artistic Director Announces Resignation
    • On July 20, 2023:  the Artistic Director of Louisville Ballet, Robert Curran (male), announced his resignation from the role. It was also announced that the company’s former artistic director Bruce Simpson (male) and associate artistic director Helen Starr (female)will serve as interim artistic advisors.
