Female Choreography Commissions, World Premieres, and Programming
- Marina Sánchez for Ballet Nacional de Sodre – Program: Gala de Ballet
- June 23, 2022 – July 3, 2022: Ballet Nacional de Sodre is currently presenting Gala de Ballet, a double bill featuring a world premiere work by Marina Sánchez (female) alongside a work by Ohad Naharin (male).
- Francesca Lattuada, Ina Lesnakowski, and Elena Kekkou for Fondazione Nazionale Della Danza & Aterballetto – Program: An Ideal City/MicroDanze
- July 15, 2022 – July 17, 2022: Fondazione Nazionale Della Danza & Aterballetto will present An Ideal City/ Micro Danze, a program featuring short works by 15 choreographers. Of the 15 choreographers, Francesca Lattuada (female), Ina Lesnakowski (female), and Elena Kekkou (female) are the only female choreographers.
- Kimberly Bartosik for American Dance Festival – Program: Footprints
- July 16, 2022: The American Dance Festival (ADF) will present Footprints, a triple bill featuring ADF-commissioned world premieres by Kimberly Bartosik (female), Charles O. Anderson (male), and Shen Wei (male).
- Jennifer Archibald for Milwaukee Ballet – Program: Originals
- February 9, 2023 – February 12, 2023: Milwaukee Ballet will present Originals, a triple bill program featuring world premiere works by Jennifer Archibald (female), Price Suddarth (male), and Timothy O’Donnell (male).
- Mollie Sansone Sidra Bell, and Windship Boyd for Nashville Ballet – Program: Attitude: Anthology
- February 10, 2023 – February 12, 2023: Nashville Ballet will present Attitude: Anthology a new production conceived by Paul Vasterling (male) that blends choreography from 4 artists, including Mollie Sansone (female), Sidra Bell (female), Windship Boyd (female), and Shabaz Ujima (male).
- Suzanne Haug for Eugene Ballet – Program: BOLD
- April 8, 2023 – April 9, 2023: Eugene Ballet will present BOLD, a quadruple bill featuring a world premiere work by Suzanne Haug (female) alongside works by Val Caniparoli (male), Nicolo Fonte (male), and Eva Stone (female).

- Sojia Jones appointed Executive Director of Covenant Ballet Theater of Brooklyn
- June 6, 2022: Covenant Ballet Theater of Brooklyn announced the appointment of Sojia Jones as executive director of the company. Jones joins as the first executive director in the company’s history.
- Wayne McGregor named National Youth Dance Company Guest Artistic Director for the 2022-2023 season
- June 28, 2022: National Youth Dance Company announced their new Guest Artistic Director for the 2022-2023 season. Wayne McGregor (male) will succeed Alesandra Seutin (female). This is a female-to-male transition.
