- Laura O’Malley for SF Danceworks – Program: Season 6
- June 29, 2023 – July 2, 2023: SF Danceworks will present Season 6, A program featuring world premiere works by Laura O’Malley (female), Bryan Arias (male), and Alexander Anderson (male), alongside works by Pam Tanowitz (female) and José Limón (male).
- Stina Quagebeur for Staatsballett Karlsruhe – Program: Jazz
- May 28, 2023 – July 5, 2023: Staatsballett Karlsruhe will present Jazz, a double bill featuring new works by Stina Quagebeur (female) and Kevin O’Day (male).
Female Choreography Commissions, World Premieres, and Programming
- Hai-Wen HSU for La Biennale di Venezia – Program: Biennale College Choreographers-New Creations
- July 23, 2023 – July 25, 2023: La Biennale di Venezia will present Biennale College Choreographers-New Creations, a program of newly commissioned works for Biennale College to support emerging choreographic talent. This year’s choreographers are Hai-Wen HSU (female), and Scott Elstermann (male).
- Samantha Lynch for Norwegian National Ballet – Program: Klassik Mesteraften
- November 9, 2023 – May 11, 2024: the Norwegian National Ballet will present Klassik Mesteraften, a program featuring a new work by Samantha Lynch (female), alongside works after Marius Petipa by Kaloyan Boyadjiev (male), Natalia Makarova (female), and Xander Parish (male).
- Vittoria Girelli, Samantha Lynch and Morgann Runacre-Temple for Stuttgart Ballet- Program: CREATIONS XIII-XV
- November 25, 2023 – February 16, 2024: Stuttgart Ballet will present CREATIONS XII-XV, a program featuring world premiere works by three female choreographers Vittoria Girelli (female), Samantha Lynch (female) and Morgann Runacre-Temple (female).
- Germaine Acogny & Malou Airaudo for The Music Center
- February 9, 2024 – February 11, 2024: The Music Center will present The Rite of Spring & common ground[s], a program featuring a new work by Germaine Acogny (female) & Malou Airaudo (female), alongside a work by Pina Bausch (female).
- Tara Schaufuss for The Royal Danish Ballet – Program: Koreorama
- March 22, 2024 – April 30, 2023: The Royal Danish Ballet will present Koreorama, A program featuring new works by Tara Schaufuss (female), Tobias Praetorius (male), and Matteo Di Loreto (male).

- Queensland Ballet Announces Retirement of Artistic Director
- On June 20, 2023: Queensland Ballet announced the retirement of Artistic Director Li Cunxin (male) effective December 2023. Cunxin departs the company due to health concerns. No successor has been named as of the date of this post.
- Ballett am Rhein Announces New Leadership
- On June 22, 2023: Ballett am Rhein announced the appointment of Raphaël Coumes-Marquet (male) as Ballet Director, and Bridget Breiner (female) as Chief Choreographer of the company starting the 2024/2025 season. Coumes-Marquet and Breiner will succeed Demis Volpi (male), who currently holds both roles, as he moves to take the position of Artistic Director of the Hamburg Ballet in the summer of 2024.
- Ballet de Capitole Announces New Artistic Director
- On June 22, 2023: the Ballet de Capitole in Toulouse announced that Beate Vollack (female) has been appointed Artistic Director of the company effective September 1, 2023. Vollack succeeds Kader Belarbi (male) who was let go by the company in February 2023. This is a male-to-female transition.
- Staatsballett Berlin Announces New Artist in Resident
- Staatsballett Berlin has announced that Marcos Morau (male) has been appointed as the company’s artist in residence effective for the 2023/2024 season. Morau’s appointment was announced within the 2023/2024 season and program announcements.

- New York Public Library for the Performing Arts’ Jerome Robbins Dance Division Announces 2023-2024 Dance Research Fellows
- On June 16, 2023: The New York Public Library for the Performing Arts announced the 2023-24 Dance Research Fellows. This year’s fellows include Kim Jones (female), Alexandra Kamerling (female), Virginie Mécène (female), Alexa West (female), Michael Byrne (male), and Lloyd Knight (male).
