- Alabama Ballet Announces Retirement of Artistic Director
- On February 17, 2023: Alabama Ballet announced that effective June 2023 Artistic Director Tracey Alvey (female) would retire after 16 years as artistic director. As of the date of this post, no successor has been announced.
- Royal Winnipeg Ballet Announces Retirement of Artistic Director & CEO
- On February 23, 2023: Royal Winnipeg Ballet announced that effective Spring 2025 company Artistic Director and CEO, André Lewis (male) will step down. The company also announced that they will launch an international recruitment process and that they “anticipate announcing a new Executive Director by the end of June 2023 and a new Artistic Director in 2024.”

- Oregon Ballet Theater Announces New Artistic Director
- On February 13, 2023: Oregon Ballet Theater announced that effective February 27, 2023, Danielle Rowe (female) will begin her tenure as the new Artistic Director of the company. Rowe succeeds Interim Artistic Director Peter Franc (male). This is a male-to-female transition
- Hannover State Ballet Announces Immediate Termination of Ballet Director
- On February 16, 2023: Staatsoper Hannover announced the termination of the contract of Ballet Director Marco Goecke (male). This termination comes after Goecke attacked arts journalist Wiebke Hüster. As of February 16th, Deputy Ballet Director Christian Blossfeld (male) has stepped into the role of ballet director until a search can be organized and conducted to find a permanent successor.
