• Arielle Smith for San Francisco Ballet – Program: Dos Mujeres
  • April 4, 2024 – April 14, 2024:  San Francisco Ballet will present Dos Mujeres, a double bill featuring a world premiere work by Arielle Smith (female), alongside a work by Annabelle Lopez Ochoa (female). 
• Rena Butler for Cincinnati Ballet – Program: Mercurial Landscapes
  • April 5, 2024 – April 7, 2024:  Cincinnati Ballet will present Mercurial Landscapes, a program featuring a world premiere work by Rena Butler (female) with costume design by Asha Ama Bias-Daniels (female), alongside works by Jodie Gates (female) and Jiří Kylián (male). 
• Gong Xingxing for Scapino Ballet Rotterdam – Program: Origin
  • April 7, 2024 – June 9, 2024:  Scapino Ballet Rotterdam will present Origin, a program featuring new works by Gong Xingxing (female), and Lior Tavori (male).
• Francesca Harper for Ailey II at the Joyce
  • April 9, 2024 – April 14, 2024:  Ailey II will be in residence at the Joyce Theater and will present a program featuring new works by Francesca Harper (female), and Baye & Asa, alongside works by Alvin Ailey (male), Judith Jamison (female), and William Forsythe (male).
• Milena Sidorova for the Dutch National Ballet – Program: Dancing Dutch
  • March 30, 2024 – April 14, 2024:  the Dutch National Ballet will present Dancing Dutch, a quadruple bill featuring a world premiere work by Milena Sidorova (female), alongside works by Jiří Kylián (male), Hans van Manen (male), and David Dawson (male).
• Mélanie Lomoff for Opera Ballet Vlaanderen – Program: Ombra
  • March 30, 2024 – May 8, 2024:  the Opera Ballet Vlaanderen will present Ombra, A world premiere program featuring a collaboration of “chorus members, dancers and orchestral musicians of Opera Ballet Vlaanderen (in a) creative dialogue” including choreography by Mélanie Lomoff (female) and Luis Marrafa (male).
• Tara Schaufuss for The Royal Danish Ballet – Program: Koreorama
  • March 22, 2024 – April 30, 2023:  The Royal Danish Ballet will present Koreorama, A program featuring new works by Tara Schaufuss (female), Tobias Praetorius (male), and Matteo Di Loreto (male).
• Maxine Doyle for NDT 2 – Program: The Beauty of it All
  • March 14, 2024 – May 2, 2024:  NDT 2 will present The Beauty of it All, a program featuring a world premiere work by Maxine Doyle (female), alongside works by Jiří Kylián (male), and Ohad Naharin (male).
• Caroline Finn and Paloma Muñoz Luengo for Bern Ballett – Program: Virginia’s House
  • January 21, 2024 – April 5, 2024:  Bern Ballett will present Virginia’s House, a double bill featuring world premiere works by Caroline Finn (female) and Paloma Muñoz Luengo (female).
• Sharon Eyal and Sol León for Staatsballett Berlin – Program: 2 Chapters Love
  • December 11, 2023 – June 14, 2024:  Staatsballett Berlin will present 2 Chapters Love, A program featuring new works by Sharon Eyal (female), and Sol León (female).

• Kaylee Skelton and Hailey Von Schlehenried for Avant Chamber Ballet – Program: Women’s Choreography Project
  • March 29, 2024 – March 30, 2024:  Avant Chamber Ballet will present Women’s Choreography Project, a program featuring new works by Kaylee Skelton (female) and Hailey Von Schlehenried (female) with revivals by Madelaine Boyce (female) and Katie Puder (female).
• Dani Rowe for Oregon Ballet Theater – Program: Wooden Dimes
  • April 5, 2024 – April 13, 2024:  Oregon Ballet Theater will present Wooden Dimes, A program featuring a world premiere work by Dani Rowe (female), alongside works by Yue Yin (female), and Ben Stevenson (male).
• Suzanne Haag for Eugene Ballet
  • April 6, 2024 – April 7, 2024:  Eugene Ballet will present A program featuring a new collaboration between Eugene Ballet Resident Choreographer Suzanne Haag (female) and musician Tracy Bonham (female), alongside works by Gerald Arpino (male) and Toni Pimble (female).
• Xingxing Gong for Scapino Ballet Rotterdam – Program: Origin
  • April 7, 2024 – June 9, 2024:  Scapino Ballet Rotterdam will present Origin, a double-bill program featuring world premiere works by Claudia Schreier (female), and Juliano Nuñes (male).
• Marissa Rae Niederhauser and Ashley A. Friend at Performance Works NorthWest!
  • April 26, 2024 – April 28, 2024:  Marissa Rae Niederhauser (female) and Ashley A. Friend (female) will present new works at Performance Works NorthWest! 
• Natasha Adorlee for BalletX – Program: Festival at the Mann
  • April 26, 2024 – April 27, 2024:  BalletX will present works in Festival at the Mann, the program will feature a new work by Natasha Adorlee (female) alongside works by Takehiro Ueyama (male), and Jamar Roberts (male). 
• Cathy Marston for Ballett Zurich – Program: Clara
  • October 11, 2024 – November 15, 2024:  Ballett Zurich will present Clara, An evening-length work by Cathy Marston (female) featuring stage design by Hildegard Bechtler (female), and costumes by Bregje van Balen (female).
• Lia Cirio for Boston Ballet – Program: Fall Experience
  • October 24, 2024 – November 15, 2024:  Boston Ballet will present Fall Experience, A program featuring a world premiere work by Lia Cirio (female) alongside works by Crystal Pite (female), Sabrina Matthews (female), and Jorma Elo (male)
• Amy Hall Garner for Carolina Ballet – Program: Boléro
  • February 6, 2025 – February 23, 2025:  Carolina Ballet will present Boléro, A program featuring a new work by Amy Hall Garner (female), alongside a work by Lynne Taylor-Corbett (female).

  • February 16, 2025 – February 23, 2025:  Ballet Zurich’s Junior Ballet will present The Butterfly Effect, a program featuring new works by Cathy Marston (female), Ihsan Rustem (male), and Lucas Valente (male).
• Reija Wäre for the Finnish National Ballet – Program: Édith Piaf – La Vie en Rose
  • February 28, 2025 – May 27, 2025:  the Finnish National Ballet will present Édith Piaf – La Vie en Rose, A new evening-length work with choreography by Reija Wäre (female) and costume design by Erika Turunen (female).
• Gianna Reisen for Carolina Ballet – Program: Alice in Wonderland

• National Ballet of Portugal Announces International Search for New Artistic Director
  • On March 22, 2024:  The National Ballet of Portugal announced an international call for applications on March 22, 2024. This search comes in light of the previous Artistic Director Carlos Prado’s (male) tenure ending on August 31, 2024. 
    
    

Artist Opportunities

• Emerging Choreographer Commissioning Program Applications Open for NYC-Metro Area Artists
  • Accent Dance NYC is currently accepting applications for the Emerging Choreographer Commissioning Program. The recipient of the commission will create a new work for the Accent Dance NYC Company. The application deadline is April 19, 2024. For more information about the application, see the link above.
