Female Choreography Commissions, World Premieres, and Programming
- Anna Konjetzky for Ballet Hagen – Program: Through and Over/Op Sha!
- November 11, 2022 – December 17, 2022: Ballet Hagen will present Through and Over/ Op Sha!, a double bill featuring a world premiere work by Anna Konjetzky (female), alongside a piece by Kevin O’Day (male).
- Glory Tuohy-Daniell for Bangarra Dance Theater – Program: Dance Clan
- February 3, 2023 – February 18, 2023: Bangarra Dance Theater will present Dance Clan, a quadruple bill featuring world premiere works by Glory Tuohy-Daniell (female), Beau Dean Riley Smith (male), Ryan Pearson (male), and Sani Townson (male).
- Felicia Andersson, Elisa Fossati, Sarah Erin Keaveney, and Anna-Cecilia Meyer for Royal Swedish Ballet – Program: Young Choreographers
- March 16, 2023 – March 18, 2023: The Royal Swedish Ballet will present Young Choreographers, a program featuring new works by up-and-coming choreographers within the ranks of the Royal Swedish Ballet. Choreographers include Elisa Fossati (female), Felicia Andersson (female), Sarah Erin Keaveney (female), Anna-Cecilia Meyer (female), William Dugan (male), Daniel Goldsmith (male), Jérémie Neveu (male), and Joao Felipe Santana (male).
- Cathy Marston for Queensland Ballet – Program: Trilogy
- June 16, 2023 – June 25, 2023: Queensland Ballet will present Trilogy, a triple bill featuring a new work by Cathy Marston (female), alongside works by Jack Lister (male), and Christopher Bruce (male).
- Natalie Weir for Queensland Ballet – Program: Bespoke
- July 27, 2023 – August 5, 2023: Queensland Ballet will present Bespoke, a triple bill featuring world premiere works by Natalie Weir (female), Paul Boyd (male), and Remi Wörtmeyer (male).

- Paris Opera Ballet Announces New Artistic Director
- October 28, 2022: The Paris Opera Ballet announced that José Martinez (male) has been appointed as the new artistic director of the company. Martinez succeeds Aurélie Dupont (female) who announced her resignation in May 2022 effective July 31, 2022. A search for the next artistic director was announced and according to the company’s press release “A total of 23 applications were received, of which 9 were women and 14 men. Of all the candidates, 11 were of French nationality and 12 of foreign nationality. The selection committee interviewed 8 candidates and made their recommendations to the Paris Opera director, who decided to interview four of them (two women and two men)”
- Idaho Dance Theater Appoints Three Associate Artistic Directors
- September 10, 2022: Idaho Dance Theater announced, through their Instagram, that Nathan Powell (male), Yurek Hansen (male), and Anna Adaska (female) have been appointed as Associate Artistic Directors of the company.
- Royal New Zealand Ballet Executive Director Announces His Resignation
- November 1, 2022: The Royal New Zealand Ballet announced that Lester McGrath (male) had resigned from his position as Executive Director of the company. As of the announcement the RNZB Board Chair, Kerry Prendergast, has stepped in as acting Executive Director until a search can be conducted to appoint a new interim Executive Director.
- Ballet Hagen Announces New Chief Choreographer
- Ballet Hagen has announced that Francesco Nappa (male) has been appointed as Chief Choreographer of the company effective for the 2023/2024 season. The title of Chief Choreographer equates most closely with the responsibilities of an artistic director.

- Joffrey Academy of Dance Announces the Winners of the 2023 Winning Works Choreographic Competition
- November 1, 2022: The Joffrey Academy of Dance announced the winners of their 13th annual Winning Works Choreographic Competition. The four winners are Natasha Adorlee (female), Christopher D’Ariano (male), Kameron Saunders (male), and Mike Tyus (male). The winning choreographers will create world-premiere works on dancers from the Joffrey Studio Company and Trainee Program.
