• Arielle Smith for the English National Ballet – Program: The Nutcracker
  • November 28, 2024 – January 12, 2025: The English National Ballet will present the world premiere of a new evening-length version of The Nutcracker, co-choreographed by Arielle Smith (female) and Aaron S. Watkin (male).
• Tra Mi Dinh for Lucy Guerin Inc. – Program: Pieces 2024
  • November 28, 2024 – November 30, 2024: Lucy Guerin Inc. will present Pieces 2024, A program featuring new works by Tra Mi Dinh (female), Joel Bray (male), Alisdair Macindoe (male)
• Kirsten Wicklund for Opera Ballett Vlaanderen – Program: Field/Minus 16
  • November 30, 2024 – December 19, 2024:  Opera Ballett Vlaanderen will present Field/Minus 16, a program featuring a world premiere work by Kirsten Wicklund (female), alongside a work by Ohad Naharin (male).
• Sharon Eyal for Staatsballett Berlin – Program: SAABA/Minus 16
  • October 25, 2024 – November 29, 2024: Staatsballet Berlin will present SAABA/Minus 16, a program featuring a new work by Sharon Eyal (female) alongside a work by Ohad Naharin (male).

Female Choreography Commissions, World Premieres, and Programming

• Jenn Freeman, Pam Tanowitz, and Yue Yin for Juilliard – Program: New Dances
  • December 11, 2024 – December 15, 2024: Juilliard Dance Division will present New Dances, a program featuring world premiere works by Jenn Freeman (they/she), Pam Tanowitz (female), and Yue Yin (female) and Houston Thomas (male).
• Sue Healey At Sydney Festival – Program: Afterworld
  • January 7, 2025 – January 11, 2025: Choreographer Sue Healey (female) will present her world premiere work Afterworld, at the 2025 Sydney Festival.
• Stephanie Lake Company At Sydney Festival – Program: The Chronicles
  • January 16, 2025 – January 19, 2025: Stephanie Lake Company will be at the Sydney Festival premiering The Chronicles, a new work by Stephanie Lake (female).
• Amelia Waller and Yolande Brown for Queensland Ballet – Program: Bespoke
  • July 31, 2025 – August 9, 2025: Queensland Ballet will present Bespoke, a program featuring works by Amelia Waller (female), Yolande Brown (female), and Robert Binet (male).

• Company SBB Announces New Executive Producer
  • In October 2024: Company SBB announced that Andrea Salvatore (female) has been appointed as Executive Producer of the company.
• Alvin Ailey American Dance Theater Announces New Artistic Director
  • On November 21, 2024: Alvin Ailey American Dance Theater announced that Alicia Graf Mack (female) has been appointed as the fourth Artistic Director of the company effective July 1, 2025. This announcement comes nearly a year after Robert Battle (male) stepped down in November 2023.

• Joffrey Ballet Announces 2025 Winning Works Artists
  • On November 15, 2024: Joffrey Ballet announced the winning artists of the 2025 Winning Works. The artists are Karley Childress (female), Roderick George (male), Shota Miyoshi (male), Alejandro Perez (male), and Keelan Whitmore (male). Winning Works will be presented over 2 weekends in March 2025, and feature 5 world premiere works.
