• Sahel Pascual for the Royal Winnipeg Ballet School – Program: On The Edge
  • May 5, 2025 – May 17, 2025: Royal Winnipeg Ballet School will present On The Edge, RWB School’s Anna McCowan-Johnson Aspirant Program will perform a program featuring a world premiere work by Sahel Pascual (female), alongside additional repertoire works.
• Lucinda Childs for Gibney Company at the Joyce
  • May 6, 2025 – May 11, 2025: the Gibney Company will be at the Joyce featuring a program of new works by Lucinda Childs (female) and Peter Chu (male).
• Bobbi Jene Smith for Ballet BC – Program: Dusk
  • May 8, 2025 – May 10, 2025: Ballet BC will present Dusk, a program featuring world premiere works by choreographic duo Bobbi Jene Smith (female) and Or Schraiber (male), and Medhi Walerski (male), alongside a work by Marco Goecke (male).
• Amanda Selwyn Dance Theatre to Present World Premiere – Program: Awaken
  • May 8, 2025 – May 10, 2025: Amanda Selwyn Dance Theatre will present Awaken at New York Live Arts. The program is a world premiere work by Amanda Selwyn (female). 
• Annabelle Lopez Ochoa for Atlanta Ballet – Program: May Program
  • May 9, 2025 – May 11, 2025: Atlanta Ballet will present its May Program, featuring a world premiere work by Annabelle Lopez Ochoa (female) alongside works by Liam Scarlett (male), and Alexander Ekman (male). 
• Caroline Dahm for Kansas City Ballet – Program: Fusion
  • May 9, 2025 – May 18, 2025: Kansas City Ballet will present Fusion, a program featuring a world premiere work by Caroline Dahm (female), alongside works by Annabelle Lopez Ochoa (female), William Forsythe (male), and Lila York (female). 
• Shannon Rodriguez and Megan Kamler for Rochester City Ballet – Program: Anastasia
  • May 9, 2025 – May 11, 2025: Rochester City Ballet will present Anastasia, A new evening-length story ballet by Shannon Rodriguez (female), and Megan Kamler (female).
• Kassandra Taylor Newberry for State Street Ballet – Program: The Brilliance Program: Balanchine, Arpino, and Beyond
  • May 9, 2025 – May 10, 2025: State Street Ballet will present The Brilliance Program: Balanchine, Arpino, and Beyond, a program featuring a world premiere work by Kassandra Taylor Newberry (female) alongside works by George Balanchine (male) and Gerald Arpino (male)

• Amy Seiwert and Andrea Schermoly for Smuin Contemporary Ballet – Program: Future Forward
  • April 17, 2026 – May 10, 2026: Smuin Contemporary Ballet will present Future Forward, a program featuring World Premiere works by Amy Seiwert (female), and Andrea Schermoly (female), alongside works by Kate Skarpetowska (female) and Michael Smuin (male)

Leadership Changes

• Joburg Ballet Announces Permanent Artistic Director
  • On April 29, 2025: Joburg Ballet announced that current Interim Artistic Director Dane Hurst (male), who has been serving in the role since January 2025, has been appointed as the permanent Artistic Director of the company.
