Female Choreography Commissions, World Premieres, and Programming
- Tiler Peck for BalletX – Program: Summer Series at the Wilma Theater
- July 13, 2022 – July 17, 2022: BalletX will present their Summer Series, a triple bill featuring world premieres by Tiler Peck (female), Gustavo Ramirez Sansano (male), and Jamar Roberts (male).
- Alice Topp for The Australian Ballet – Program: Instruments of Dance
- September 23, 2022 – October 1, 2022: The Australian Ballet will present Instruments of Dance, a triple bill featuring works by “resident choreographers from three of the world’s top companies” (see link). Resident choreographer of The Australian Ballet, Alice Topp, will present a world premiere work alongside works by Justin Peck (male) and Wayne McGregor (male).
- Natalie Weir for West Australian Ballet – Goldberg Variations
- September 9, 2022 – September 24, 2022: West Australian Ballet will present Goldberg Variations, a world premiere work by choreographer Natalie Weir (female), and a night devoted solely to a female choreographer.
- Morgann Runacre-Temple for Birmingham Royal Ballet – Program: Into the Music
- October 21, 2022 – November 5, 2022: Birmingham Royal Ballet will present Into the Music, a triple bill featuring a world premiere work by Morgann Runacre-Temple (female), alongside works by Jiří Kylián (male), and Uwe Scholz (male).
- Jessica Lang for The Washington Ballet – Program: NEXTsteps
- June 22, 2022 – June 26, 2022: The Washington Ballet will present NEXTsteps, a triple bill of world premieres by choreographers Jessica Lang (female) Brett Ishida (male), and Mthuthuzeli November (male).

- New Executive Director at Ballet Arizona
- Effective July 1, 2022: Jami Kozemczak (female) will succeed Samantha Turner (female) as executive director of Ballet Arizona. This is a female to female transition.
