• Gianna Reisen for Carolina Ballet – Program: Alice in Wonderland
  • March 13, 2025 – March 30, 2025: Carolina Ballet will present Alice in Wonderland, an evening-length world premiere by Gianna Reisen (female).
• Cassa Pancho and Chanel DaSilva for Ballet Black – Program: Ballet Black: Shadows
  • March 13, 2025 – March 15, 2025: Ballet Black will present Ballet Black: Shadows, a program featuring new works by Cassa Pancho (female) and Chanel DaSilva (female). 
• Molly Gemerchak, Miriam-Rose LeDuc, and Rachel Schmidt for Chicago Repertory Ballet- Program: The Choreography Project
  • March 14, 2025 – March 16, 2025: Chicago Repertory Ballet will present The Choreography Project, a program featuring new works by company artists Molly Gemerchak (female), Alex Goodreau (male), Nick Hittle (male), Miriam-Rose LeDuc (female) & Rachel Schmidt (female).
• Chloé Watson for Ballet Vero Beach – Program: Latines
  • March 14, 2025 – March 15, 2025: Ballet Vero Beach will present Latines, a program featuring world premiere works by Chloé Watson (female), Yanis Eric Pikieris (male), and Camilo A. Rodriguez (male).
• Tsai Hsi Hung for Dance Kaleidoscope – Program: Emerge
  • March 14, 2025 – March 16, 2025: Dance Kaleidoscope will present Emerge, a program featuring a world premiere work by Tsai Hsi Hung (female), alongside works by Stuart Lewis (male), and Joshua Blake Carter (male).
• Summer Odell Ovies for Deos Contemporary Ballet – Program: Ember Series ‘25
  • March 14, 2025- March 16, 2025: Deos Contemporary Ballet will present Ember Series ’25, a program featuring world premiere works by Summer Odell Ovies (female) and Tess Sinke (female) alongside works by Grace Sinke (female) and Tess Sinke (female). 

Female Choreography Commissions, World Premieres, and Programming

• Chutzpah! Festival Presents New Constellations of Creation 
  • March 21, 2025 – March 22, 2025: Chutzpah! Festival will present New Constellations of Creation, a program featuring world premiere works by Fernando Hernando Magadan (male) and Belle Spirale Directors Alexis Fletcher (female) & Sylvain Senez (male).
• Dance Reflections by Van Cleef & Arpels Festival presents Pam Tanowitz – Program: Neither Drums nor Trumpets
  • March 25, 2025 – March 26, 2025: Dance Reflections by Van Cleef & Arpels will present Neither Drums nor Trumpets, a creation by Pam Tanowitz (female).
• Silvana Cardell Presents TERRA: Bodies & Territories
  • In June 2025: Silvana Cardell (female) will present TERRA: Bodies & Territories, an “immersive, multi-sensory performance” dance theatre world premiere. 

Leadership Changes

• The John Cranko School Announces New Leadership
  • On February 28, 2025: The Stuttgart Ballet announced that Elisa Carrillo Cabrera (female) will succeed Tadeusz Matacz (male) as Director of the John Cranko School effective January 2026. It was also announced that Mikhail Kaniskin (male) has been appointed as Associate Director. 
• Tanztheater Wuppertal Pina Bausch Announces Departure of Artistic Director
  • On February 28, 2025: Tanztheater Wuppertal Pina Bausch announced the departure of artistic director Boris Charmatz (male) effective August 1, 2025. As the search for the next artistic director gets underway, deputy director Dr. Daniel Siekhaus (male) will serve as director of the theater.
