- Danielle Rowe for San Francisco Ballet – Program: next@90 Garland / Roberts / Rowe
- January 20, 2023 – February 11, 2023: San Francisco Ballet will present the first program of their festival next@90. This triple bill program features new works by Danielle Rowe (female), Robert Garland (male), and Jamar Roberts (male).
- Roya Carreras for Dance at the Odyssey festival
- January 20, 2023 – January 22, 2023: Dance at the Odyssey will present The Stories we Tell Ourselves, “a world premiere of three movement monologues” by choreographer Roya Carreras (female).
- Micaela Taylor for Acosta Danza – Program: Spectrum
- January 23, 2023 – January 30, 2023, Acosta: Danza will present Spectrum, a program featuring a new commission by Micaela Taylor (female), alongside works by Carlos Acosta (male), Juanjo Arqués (male), Sidi Larbi Cherkaoui (male), Beatriz Garcia (female), Raul Reinoso (male), and Goyo Montero (male).
- Wubkje Kuindersma for Dutch National Ballet Junior Company – Program: Ballet Bubbles
- January 25, 2023 – February 15, 2023: The Dutch National Ballet Junior Company will present Ballet Bubbles, a program featuring world premiere works by Wubkje Kuindersma (female), Joshua Junker (male) and Sedrig Verwoert (male), alongside the ‘Pas de quatre’ from The Sleeping Beauty, and a work by Juanjo Arqués (male).

- January 26, 2023 – January 28, 2023: White Bird will present a program featuring TL Collective as part of their ‘White Bird Uncaged Series.’ This program will feature works choreographed by the founder and Artistic Director of the TL Collective, Micaela Taylor, and will include a world premiere work entitled BlueNav.

Female Choreography Commissions, World Premieres, and Programming
- Esie Mensah for Ballet Kelowna – Program: Reflections
- February 17, 2023 – February 18, 2023: Ballet Kelowna will present Reflections, a quadruple bill featuring a world premiere work by Esie Mensah (female), alongside works by Cameron Fraser-Monroe (male), John Alleyne (male), and Seiji Suzuki (male).
- Lauren Flower, Bethany Green, and Carly Topazio for The Rosin Box Project – Program: Empower
- March 23, 2023 – March 27, 2023: The Rosin Box Project will present Empower, a program “championing female voices in and beyond our industry.” The program features world premiere works by The Rosin Box Project Resident Choreographers Lauren Flower (female), Bethany Green (female), and Carly Topazio (female).

- Miami City Ballet Announces New Executive Director
- On January 12, 2023: Miami City Ballet announced that effective February 6, 2023, Juan José Escalante (male) will begin his tenure as Executive Director of the company. Escalante succeeds Jeff Davis (male), who took on the role of Interim Executive Director after the departure of the previous Executuive Director, Tania Castroverde Moskalenko (female), in 2022.
- Pittsburgh Ballet Theater Announces New Artistic Director
- On January 18, 2023: Pittsburgh Ballet Theater announced that effective March 1, 2023, Adam W. McKinney (male) will succeed Susan Jaffe (female) the company’s Artistic Director. McKinney is the company’s first director of color. This is a female-to-male transition.
- Jasmin Vardimon Company Announces New Executive Director
- On January 18, 2023: Jasmin Vardimon Company announced that effective April 2023, Alison Tedbury (female), will succeed Ian Ross (male) as Executive Director of the company. This is a male-to-female transition.

- Prix de Lausanne Announces 2023 Young Creation Award Finalists
- On January 16, 2023: the Prix de Lausanne announced Young Creation Award 2023 Finalists. They include Aleisha Walker (female), Elena Dombrowski (female), Hannah MccLoughan (female), Martin Balaban (male), and Nicholas Mihlar (male). The Finals and a Livestream of the event will take place on February 1, 2023.
