- March 1, 2025 – March 2, 2025: Dayton Contemporary Dance Company will present Power & Presence, a program featuring world premiere works by Qarrianne Blayr (female) and Winifred Harris (female) alongside works by Countess V. Winfrey (female) and Kia Smith (female)
- Valerie Mae Browne for American Liberty Ballet – Program: The Dying of Swan Lake
- March 1, 2025 – March 2, 2025: American Liberty Ballet will present The Dying of Swan Lake, a program featuring a new work choreographed by company director Valerie Mae Browne (female) & Allan McCormick (male) alongside another work by Valerie Mae Browne (female) featuring concept and design by Anna Khachatryan (female).
- Andrea Peña for Ballet BC – Program: Zenith
- March 6, 2025 – March 8, 2025: Ballet BC will present Zenith, a program featuring world premiere works by Andrea Peña (female), and Fernando Hernando Magadan (male) alongside a work by Johan Inger (male).
- Morgann Runacre-Temple for Ballet National du Capitole – Program: Chansons Dansées
- March 7, 2025 – March 12, 2025: Ballet National du Capitole will present Chansons Dansées, a program featuring a new creation by Morgann Runacre-Temple (female), alongside works by Ben van Cauwenbergh (male), and Mauro Bigonzetti (male).
Female Choreography Commissions, World Premieres, and Programming
- Kara Wilkes and Flynn Ericson for Ballet Idaho Trainee Program – Program: Emergence
- March 15, 2025: Ballet Idaho’s Trainee Program will present Emergence, a program featuring world premieres by Quinn Wharton (male) and Kara Wilkes (female), along with new works by Jonathan Harris (male) and Flynn Ericson (female) in collaboration with Amy Novak (female) alongside a story ballet staged by Stephanie Orza (female).
- Clymene Aldinger’s Clymove Dance presents A Divine Abnormal
- March 19, 2025 – March 22, 2025: Clymove Dance will present A Divine Abnormal, a program featuring a world premiere by Clymene Aldinger (female) alongside a work by JoVonna Parks (female) and other company repertory
- Marika Brussel and Naomi Sailors for Peninsula Ballet – Program: Don Quixote & 3 New Dance Works
- April 11, 2025 – April 12, 2025: Peninsula Ballet will present Don Quixote & 3 New Dance Works, a program featuring a new version of Don Quixote by Artistic Director Gregory Amato (male) and Ballet Mistress Nina Amato (female) after Marius Petipa alongside world premiere works by Marika Brussel (female), Naomi Sailors (female), and Gregory Amato (female).
- Dorrance Dance at Vail Dance Festival
- On July 30, 2025: Dorrance Dance will be in residence at Vail Dance Festival. The company will present a new evening length work by Michelle Dorrance (female) and Ephrat Asherie (female).
- Vail Dance Festival Announces NOW: Premieres Choreographers
- On August 4, 2025: Vail Dance Festival will present NOW: Premieres, a program featuring new commissioned works by Robert Battle (male), Michelle Dorrance (female), Justin Peck (male), Gianna Reisen (female), Bobbi Jene Smith (female), My’Kal Stromile (male), and Melissa Toogood (female).
- Mickayla Carr, Alex Schooling and Flannery Werne for Oklahoma City Ballet – Program: Future Voices
- March 20, 2026 – March 23, 2026: Oklahoma City Ballet will present Future Voices, a program featuring a world premiere works from company artists including Randolph Fernandez (male) Joseph Hetzer (male), Mickayla Carr (female), Leonardo Celegato (male), Alex Schooling (female), and Flannery Werner (female).
- Natasha Adorlee for Oklahoma City Ballet – Program: Shorts: A Night of Premieres
- May 8, 2026 – May 10, 2026: Oklahoma City Ballet will present Shorts: A night of Premieres, a program featuring world premiere works by Natasha Adorlee (female), and Serkan Hasanusta (male) alongside a work by Edward Clug (male).
Leadership Changes
- Vienna State Opera Ballet Announces New Academy Director
- On February 25, 2025: the Vienna State Opera Ballet announced that Patrick Armand (male) has been appointed as the Academy Director. Armand will succeed Christiana Stefanou (female) effective September 1, 2025.
- Texas Ballet Theater Principal Rehearsal Director to Step Down
- On February 22, 2025: Texas Ballet Theater announced that Anna Donovan (female) who has served as Principal Rehearsal Director for the company for 25 years will step down effective Summer 2025.
- Oklahoma City Ballet Announces Retirement of Executive Director
- On February 25, 2025: Oklahoma City Ballet announced that Executive Director Jo Lynne Jones (female) will retire effective June 1, 2025. No successor has been announced as of the date of this post.
- National Ballet of Canada Announces New Resident Choreographer
- On February 27, 2025: National Ballet of Canada announced that David Dawson (male) has been appointed as Resident Choreographer of the company.
