Ballet Arkansas’ ‘Four Seasons’ showcases female choreographers
Ballet Arkansas’ end-of-season performance of “Four Seasons” is featured in this article by The Northwest Arkansas Democrat-Gazette. The program for this performance is comprised of four world-premiere ballets, each created by a different female choreographer and accompanied by a corresponding Vivaldi violin concerto. The choreographers highlighted in this program include Xin Ying of the Martha Graham Dance Company, Ashley Green of Alvin Ailey Dance Theater, Mariana Oliveira of the Union Project Dance Company, and freelance choreographer Maddy Falconer.
Michael Fothergill, executive and artistic director of Ballet Arkansas, notes that they are the only company in the region with an all-female bill included in this year’s performance season.
