DANCE DATA PROJECT® WELCOMES SIX NEW TEAM MEMBERS TO ITS SUMMER 2021 COHORT

Dance Data Project® (DDP) welcomes six new team members as part of its Summer 2021 cohort. Learn more about each of these accomplished individuals below.

Isabelle Ramey graduated from Butler University with a BFA in Dance Performance and a BS in Math. In the coming months, she will complete a professional certification in Data Science as well as begin her 1st season as a dancer with Ballet Austin. DDP welcomes her as a Special Projects Consultant.

Junyla Silmon is a senior at Montclair State University earning a BFA in Dance Performance and a Minor in Business Administration. With a love for community, individual expression, and the vast human experience, her art expands upon the desire to amplify humanity through physical storytelling. DDP welcomes Junyla to the summer intern team and thanks Stephanie Batten Bland for promoting DDP’s internship opportunities.

Christiana McLeod Horn is a recent honors graduate of Spelman College, with a BA in Dance Performance and Choreography. She is a movement artist with a passion for social change and joins our summer intern cohort. DDP is grateful to Dr. Veta Goler for promoting DDP and its internships to Spelman students.

Elena Dalla Torre is a senior at Montclair State University seeking a BFA in Dance Performance and a BA in Communications and Media Arts. As a student she advocates for equity and understanding through work in gender and race. She joins DDP as an intern this summer. DDP would like to once again thank Stephanie Batten Bland for promoting DDP and its internship opportunities.

Sophia Dunn-Fox is a senior at Mount Holyoke College majoring in data science with a domain area in dance. Her long-term interests focus on using data science as a tool to actively support diversity and equity in the arts and larger contemporary social issues. We appreciate Mount Holyoke’s partnership in providing DDP with Sophia’s time this summer. She joins DDP as an Intern Fellow.

Kyrsten Harper graduated from Southern Utah University with a BA in Dance Education and is currently working towards an MFA in Arts Administration. As an administrator, Harper advocates for art, artists, and arts organizations. She joins DDP as Inaugural Fellow. DDP appreciates SUU’s partnership in providing Kyrsten’s time this summer.
