• Arielle Smith for London City Ballet – Program: Resurgence
  • July 17, 2024 – September 14, 2024:  London City Ballet will present the company’s inaugural season tour program, Resurgence, which features a world premiere work by Arielle Smith (female) alongside works by Christopher Marney (male), Ashley Page (male), and Kenneth MacMillan (male).

 

Female Choreography Commissions, World Premieres, and Programming

• Shantell Martin for Los Angeles Ballet – Program: Off Balance
  • March 22, 2025 – March 23, 2025:  Los Angeles Ballet will present Off Balance, a new “avant-garde work by multifaceted visual artist Shantell Martin” (female).
• Chloé Watson for Ballet Vero Beach – Program: Latines
  • March 14, 2025 – March 15, 2025:  Ballet Vero Beach will present Latines, a program featuring world premiere works by Chloé Watson (female), Yanis Eric Pikieris (male), and Camilo A. Rodriguez (male).

• National Ballet Company of Portugal Announces New Artistic Director
  • Portugal’s National Ballet Company has announced that Fernando Duarte (male) will succeed Carlos Prado (male) as Artistic Director effective September 1, 2024.
• Royal Danish Ballet Announces Interim Artistic Director
  • On August 15, 2024:  The Royal Danish Ballet announced that Amy Watson (female) will succeed Nikolaj Hübbe (male) as artistic director in an interim capacity. 
• Royal Ballet Announces New Répétiteur
  • On August 21, 2024:  The Royal Ballet announced that Stuart Cassidy (male) has been appointed as Répétiteur to the principal artists. 
• Ballet de l’Opéra Grand Avignon Announces New Artistic Director
  • Ballet de l’Opéra Grand Avignon has announced that Martin Harriague (male) will succeed Émilio Calcagno (male) as Artistic Director effective September 1, 2024.
