Female Choreography Commissions, World Premieres, and Programming
- Stephanie Lake for Sydney Dance Company – Program: Resound
- October 25, 2022 – November 5, 2022: Sydney Dance Company will present Resound, a triple bill featuring new works by Stephanie Lake (female) and Rafael Bonachela (male) alongside a repertory work also by Rafael Bonachela (male).
- Cathy Marston for Houston Ballet – Program: Summer and Smoke
- March 9, 2023 – March 19, 2023: Houston Ballet will present Summer and Smoke, a triple bill featuring a world premiere work by Cathy Marston (female), alongside works by Stanton Welch (male) and George Balanchine (male).
- Jessica Lang for Pacific Northwest Ballet – Program: Boundless
- March 17, 2023 – March 26, 2023: Pacific Northwest Ballet will present Boundless, a triple bill featuring new works by Jessica Lang (female), and Alejandro Cerrudo (male), alongside a work by Penny Saunders (female).
- Margarita Armas for Miami City Ballet at Jacob’s Pillow
- August 24, 2022 – August 28, 2022: Miami City Ballet will perform at Jacob’s Pillow. Their quadruple bill program will feature a world premiere work by Margarita Armas (female) alongside works by Martha Graham (female), George Balanchine (male), and Jerome Robbins (male).
- Bobbi Jene Smith for Paris Opera Ballet
- March 17, 2023 – March 30, 2023: The Paris Opera Ballet will present an evening-length world premiere by choreographer Bobbi Jene Smith (female). Smith’s work will be the only choreography featured within the program.

- Boulder Ballet announces new Artistic Director
- July 28, 2022: Boulder Ballet announced that Ben Needham-Wood (male) would succeed Lance Hardin (male) as the company’s artistic director. This is a male-to-male transition.
- José Limón Dance Foundation announces new Executive Director
- Oregon Ballet Theater School announces new School Director
- Effective August 4, 2022: Oregon Ballet Theater School has announced that Katarina Svetlova (female) is the school’s new director. Svetlova was appointed interim director of the school in May 2022, succeeding Marion Tonner (female) in the position.
