• Toni Pimble for Eugene Ballet – Program: The Toni’s
  • On April 12, 2025: Eugene Ballet will present The Toni’s, A program featuring a new work by Toni Pimble (female) and other repertory works choreographed by Toni Pimble.
• Annalee Traylor for Ririe Woodbury Dance Company – Program: RE-ACT
  • April 17, 2025 – April 19, 2025: Ririe Woodbury Dance Company will present RE-ACT, a program featuring world premiere works by Annalee Traylor (female) and Daniel Charon (male) in collaboration with Alexandra Harbold (female).

Female Choreography Commissions, World Premieres, and Programming

• Alia Luque for Ballett Basel – Program: 1984
  • May 3, 2025 – May 23, 2025: Ballett Basel will present 1984, an evening-length work choreographed by Alia Luque (female).
• Adolphe Binder for Ballett Basel – Program: Kintsugi/I Will, Love
  • May 24, 2025 – June 22, 2025: Ballett Basel will present Kintsugi/I Will, Love, a program featuring new works by Adolphe Binder (female) and Jonathan Fredrickson (male).
• Gerri Houlihan and Tanu Sharma for American Dance Festival – Program: Made in NC
  • On June 18, 2025: the American Dance Festival will present Made in NC, a program featuring new works by Gerri Houlihan (female), Tanu Sharma (female), Alejandro Cerrudo (male), and Norberto “Betto” Herrera (male).
• Jann Gallois and Iratxe Ansa for Opéra National Capitol Toulouse Ballet – Program: Trois Cygnes
  • March 13, 2026 – March 19, 2026: Opéra National Capitol Toulouse Ballet will present Trois Cygnes, a program featuring new creations by Nicolas Blanc (male), Jann Gallois (female), Iratxe Ansa (female) & Igor Bacovich (male).
• Imre van Opstal for Nederlands Dans Theater – Program: I dreamt, it was
  • March 26, 2026 – June 2, 2026: Nederlands Dans Theater will present I dreamt, it was, a program featuring a world premiere work by Imre van Opstal (female) & Marne van Opstal (male), alongside a work by Sharon Eyal (female) & Gai Behar (male). 
• Carolyn Carlson for Opéra National Capitol Toulouse Ballet – Program: Un Saut Dans le Bleu
  • June 12, 2026 – June 17, 2026: Opéra National Capitol Toulouse Ballet will present Un Saut Dans le Bleu, an evening-length world premiere by Carolyn Carlson (female)
• Rachelle Scott for NDT 2 – Program: Up & Coming Choreographers 
  • July 7, 2026 – July 11, 2026: NDT 2 will present Up & Coming Choreographers, a program featuring world premiere works by Rachelle Scott (female), and Tom Weinberger (male)

Leadership Changes

• Pacific Northwest Ballet School Announces Retirement of School Managing Director and Principal
  • Pacific Northwest Ballet has announced that Denise Bolstad (female) will retire as the school’s managing director in June 2025. No successor has been named as of the date of this post. The company also announced that Marisa Albee (female) will succeed Abbie Siegel (female) as the school principal. 
• Tulsa Ballet Announces Departure of Long-Time Rehearsal Director
  • On April 9, 2025: Tulsa Ballet announced that Susan Frei (female) will depart her role as Rehearsal Director after 32 years in the role. No successor has been announced as of the date of this post.
